we Have been led to believe that this land (Rugby club Fields, Greenleys) have been earmarked for residential development ( conversations with the parks trust and information for land development on Monday councils planning site).
This land was a gift to the residents of Greenleys from Milton Keynes Corporation for recreational purpose and the residents wish it to remain so.
We understand the housing crisis that the Uk is facing but do not believe building houses on this site is a good soloution to this areas particular needs.
We therefore petition against building residential properties on this land for the following reasons
• The noise and disruption to residents caused by building works
• Losing valuable and cherished views out to the countryside
• additional pressures on local facilities such as doctors/heath services and schools
• properties which are currently not overlooked being overlooked
• Property values being affected
• Increased traffic to the area
• Additional pressures on car parking ( already an issue for residents). Should parking be removed or reduced?
• Loss of community green space/ recreational facilities
• The ground is made up ground due to past flooding and is unsuitable for building houses

The momentum behind this petition has grown significantly and confirms that our community values these green spaces deeply. This level of engagement provides a strong foundation as we continue to challenge the current development plans.

Traffic/parking is already ridiculous and dangerous around field lane so adding it to is just silly. Waiting times to even get an appointment at the doctors surgery is unbelievable as it is. Leave Greenleys green area alone or build another family social club.
I grew up with my back window facing these fields an know that it will benefit more being used for social uses to the community rather than housing that will create less space and more problems for day to day life for the community!
This space should be saved for recreational use , the access to the site is not suitable to carry the traffic of 125 houses . The main road is already gridlocked morning and night without adding more. A ridiculous idea!!
This just isn’t fair. Go elsewhere!
It's a community space, gifted to Greenleys residents - it should MIT be snatched away from people who live by it and use it, whose children play on it!!
Maybe if they actually put into play a proper recreational place for our young they’d would actually stop hanging around the streets, shops etc being mischievous
