THINK OF THE IMPACT THAT AN EXTRA 1500 PEOPLE AND 750 CARS WILL HAVE IN LINSLADE.

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!

PLEASE ENSURE ALL EMAILS/LETTERS OF OBJECTION ARE LODGED BY 11TH FEBRUARY 2015 - GO TO DISCUSSION PAGE FOR DETAILS.

This petition calls on Aylesbury Vale District Council to reject the Planning Application by Paul Newman Homes to build 300 (and then a further 75) houses in Linslade due to the intolerable pressure it will place on the infrastructure, roads, school places and health services that are already over stretched. The development will ruin valuable green space as well as establishing a dangerous planning precedent to add more housing along Derwent Road. Finally, all the money generated from this scheme will be sent to AVDC and Buckinghamshire County Council whilst all the problems will fall on Linslade in Central Bedfordshire.

Check the discussion board for information on how to oppose the application.

50 houses would be stretching what could reasonably be considered sustainable: 300 houses is merely a cynical proposal with complete disregard for the quality of life amongst existing and proposed new residents.

This is an island development that turns its back on the existing community of linslade. It is unsustainable as relies on car ownership. The financial benefits in terms if s106 contributions will go to Aylesbury Vale while the social costs will be met by Leighton Linslade Council tax.

As chairman of the Central Linslade Residents Association, I and the members of the Association, recognise that the area environment can not support a development of this size and nature. It must be stopped.

as a local resident for over 30 years I am totally against the scheme. It would bring disruption to the community with extra transport the roads cannot cope with, along with destroying beautiful land and wildlife.

The extra traffic around the station and Soulbury Road and A418 at peak times will bring the whole place to a stand. Hard enough to get a Drs appointment now, extra load on our resources is just too much. Whare will the sewage go,? Our drains are overloaded when it rains even now.

The Valley Farm Development is not sustainable and creates avoidable strains on the infrastructure of neighbouring Linslade specifically; traffic congestion, parking, schools and doctors surgeries. It will also avoidably spoil the beautiful views as you approach this historical market town.
