Dear Larvotto neighbours, residents, owners, management company and those who are concerned

This is an appeal and petition from concerned residents of Larvotto, Ap Lei Chau

In response to the most recent broken window incident that fell and injured one of our neighbours on April 8th, 2017. Apparently, these kinds of incidents have happened many times in the past and we ask that SHK / Kerry management company to share with us the following publicly and in writing

  • What is/are the root causes of this incident?
  • What were the reasons for all the past similar incidents?
  • How can we ensure similar incidents will never happen again in the future?

Concerned residents of Larvotto, Ap Lei Chau

Updates

April 13, 2017

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing this level of support keeps me going when I feel ready to quit. It is clear that the management company can no longer pretend these windows are a minor issue. We are far from finished with this fight.

I'm currently seriously considering moving into Larvotto however this window issue is enough to make me reconsider. I've known about it for years, I thought they fixed this issue by now.

Having been a victim of a Larvotto window that fell on and trashed our car I support this petition.

I have 2 small kids and I am afraid for them. Just would like to understand is it a problem of quality of glasses and installation or accident ?

in early 2016 I was told by the management company that well over 100 windows had 'failed' but that only about half a dozen or so had actually fallen out. At the time that number seemed low.

Just need answers. Not kept in the dark as it effects both owners and tenants. We live here, should have a say in our safety

Did the Larvotto management waste our money replacing windows which fell out instead of sueing the developper or contractor for compensation?

This is unacceptable, we have kids walking pass the footpath every morning
