We, the residents and surrounding community members of buildings 5700 and 5701 submit this petition to bring urgent safety concerns to the attention of the property manager, owner, and management company. For several months, exterior doors in our building have remained unlocked, leaving common areas and individual units insufficiently secured. Despite prior informal notices, the problem persists, creating real and escalating safety risks for all residents, including families and their children and potentially affecting property value and insurance considerations.

Our goal with this petition is to:

• Request an immediate, thorough investigation and remediation to restore all affected doors to secure, locked, and monitored status.
• Establish a clear timeline with accountable parties, required parts, and expected completion dates.
• Implement a temporary safety plan to reduce risk during repairs.
• Ensure regular, transparent communication about progress.
• Adopt a preventive maintenance schedule to prevent recurrence, and
• Verify that access control systems are functioning correctly and up to code, with any recommended upgrades identified.

We respectfully request a concrete action plan and completion date within 15–30 days, with interim updates at weekly or biweekly intervals. This petition is meant to document resident concern and to prompt accountable action to restore safe, secure access for all residents.
