Dear PITCL
In light of yet another bus accident recently, we as a community need to see some change! There has been much concern voiced, both publicly and privately regarding general safety on the public buses. The public consensus is that too many drivers speed on the main road in Ma Wan along with general carelessness. Based on previous communication, you (PITCL) have declined our request for speed bumps to be installed, so now we strongly urge that you install either rising bollards or a cheaper option would be either cameras inside each bus along with speed meters visible for everyone to see (as they have in many minibuses in Hong Kong). You could also install automatic speed cameras as another option. Another suggestion is to have the drivers' details displayed more clearly in order for us to take a picture of it (or record the details) and send you complaints about individual drivers. If there is an inboard speed meter installed for everyone to see, then passengers can inform you of the driver and bus details, and you can have a look at the camera recording, and hopefully reprimand the driver accordingly!
Either way, something needs to be done soon!
I am sure that you too would like to prevent any future incidence before it is too late! We would like to see some real change from your side to show us that you are not only concerned with making money, but also concerned with creating and providing a safe transport system to your clients. Sadly, your track record leaves much to be desired and we will not stand by and simply wait for the next unfortunate incident (or fatality!)

I honestly never thought we would see this much movement when I first typed this out on my phone while waiting for the bus. It feels like people are actually paying attention now and that makes me think we might finally force them to listen.

I fully support this. The Ma Wan buses are driven far too fast, it's reckless. Many of us choose to live here because of the no cars rule, got the safety of our children. The 'need for speed' bus drivers threaten the safety of the residents.
The buses regularly speed, there have been 2 serious accidents, many elderly and young children live here. Please take safety seriously! Thankyou.
If something doesn't change we will face another fatal accident.
please we need change on Park Island to make our roads safer!!!

This is enough PITCL. Stop putting money before lives!!
It is about time!!! This is getting out of hand!!! Why wait for more accidents, injuries or fatalities before you make some changes!!!

The busses speed too fast. Very dangerous and need to be slowed before there is another fatality.
