As a response to the increasing number of road accidents and fatalities, the residents of Clearwater Bay, Hong Kong are undertaking a proactive initiative to work with the HK police force and Transport Department towards a goal of installing increased surveillance and traffic calming measures, along Clearwater Bay Road. This road is well known for its blind corners and counter cambering, matched with inexperienced speed racers, we are experiencing a dramatic increase in road incidents. The residents have for many years made official complaints to the Police and Traffic Department, it is felt that more needs to be done if we are to make our neighbourhood safe for our families and friends. If no action is taken, the lives of Clearwater Bay residents will continue to be at risk. PETITION: “We call on you to help protect Clearwater Bay residents, their families and their children, to minimize the chances of future road accidents. We urge you to encourage the HK Police Force and Traffic Department to take all and every measure necessary to achieve this aim. We stand with concerned residents in favor of the above.”
