"That British Place", opened it's doors in April 2008 and has since provided high end, professional, and great sounding rooms to both local, national, and international acts, who have all been proud to call "That British Place" home! At a time when tech companies are forcing businesses to shut down in Venice and Santa Monica, we try to offer a bit of the old westside feel, a family run, friendly, and affordable place for musicians to hone their craft, and feel comfortable.
Well, it would seem that we are also victims of this wave of businesses being pushed out, we have had unfounded complaints made by a new neighbor, which have led to disputes with the property managers, who have now started eviction processes towards us. I could go into more detail about the lies and downright nasty behavior of our new neighbor, but suffice to say, it's enough to push our business to the very brink of the end.
We feel we offer a valuable and valued asset to the westside, we feel we are part of a greater community, and we fear that losing "That British Place" would be a massive loss to the Los Angeles music community in general. Please sign and share this petition, we don't know if it will help sway management, but we feel it's important to show them the lives that will be effected.

Rock n' roll isn't an arena where one usually finds individuals behaving with integrity and professionalism. The team that runs That British Place is a rare example of admirable conduct who have proven themselves to be of great value to LA's artistic community.
that british place provided my band, the incredible heavies, an affordable practice space with a back line to keep us from hauling all of our equipment. this is a rarity on the west side. please allow them to keep their business going.
To the landlord Gaz and Zoe are cool people who are trying to do the right thing. It appears that the neighboring video studio has designs on the space currently occupied by That British Place. How is this fair after Gaz and Zoe have been their nine years?
We have always appreciated the fact that TBP exists for bands like ours...really no alternatives on the Westside and TBP is a critical link in the live music chain! Please reconsider all options to keep this valuable community asset going!!
I have been going to That British Place for over 5 years and it is the best place in LA for rehearsing in my opinion. Feels like I have known them forever and very friendly. Plus only place I know that you can book one hour!!!
I enjoy this place every now and then. I hope it stays open.
I was looking for an affordable option in rehearsal spaces in Santa Monica and Venice. This place had great reviews and was greatly disappointed when hearing it was not there anymore. Hope to hear some good news about this place very soon!

It would be a great loss to the community if That British Place were forced to close it's doors. I have been a patron for seven years now and have always found the owners respectful, honest and reliable and the studios well maintained, safe, clean and comfortable.
