Ascape Studios needs your help. By signing this petition you are stating that a facility like this is needed in this area and musicians should have somewhere to rehearse and record without having to travel miles. Situated on an industrial estate that is as far as possible from residential properties, and after 3 independent sound tests that showed there was no problem, the council still state that the noise gives residents a loss of amenity. Since the first sound test, even though the results showed nothing the studios have done further sound proofing to try to find a solution. If they were to close it would mean 1500 musicians that regularly use the studio would have to go elsewhere, put staff and future staff out of jobs and take away the only facility for music of this kind in Bromley. The studio is also a centre for Rockschool examinations and caters for dancers, drama groups, photographers, film makers and children’s birthday parties. Please help the studio by signing this petition and help to save the only place like this in Bromley. Whether you currently use Ascape, know someone who does or just believe that the arts should have support in the borough your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
We just hit 100 signatures and the council is officially on notice. They think they can ignore the local music scene but this number proves we are not going anywhere.

The council thinks they can ignore us but this surge of support proves they are dead wrong. These bureaucrats have no interest in the truth or the data. We are forcing them to look at the massive community behind Ascape Studios.

Ridiculous decision. If they close this where are we supposed to practice?? Bromley really has nothing else for musicians.

Been going here for years. The soundproofing is already massive and you can't hear a thing outside. Leave them alone.

Absolutely ridiculous. It sits in a literal industrial estate. What do people expect to hear there? Silence?

This place is a lifeline for local bands. The council needs to get their priorities straight and stop killing off local businesses.

My son loves his drum lessons here. Why shut down something that keeps kids off the streets and busy doing something productive?

This is absurd. The trains that pass are far louder
