We the undersigned demand that The Squeaky Lizard Bar & Music Venue be allowed to continue to conduct business at 6716 Washington Ave Suite D, Ocean Springs, MS. This local business has made every attempt available to reduce noise levels to the surrounding residents by adding interior walls and insulation, filling all air gaps in the structure, sound-proofing back doors, and keeping live music shows limited to reasonable hours of noise curfew. This music venue has brought many national and international entertainers to our area in the past few months. They have also provided a safe, friendly, and fun environment for local artists to showcase their talents on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This property is zoned commercial and was approved for a live music venue by the planning commission. Any attempts to shut down this business are clearly due to a personal agenda instead of an actual inconvenience, and would surely result in a great loss to countless members of our community and local businesses.
