Hello Neighbors,
The stream restoration project is scheduled to finish in the next 2 weeks. As part of their restoration they are tearing down the 6ft Chain Link security fence to put up a 4ft pressure treated pine fence between the neighborhood and the light rail. A section of the fence has already been put in our backyard and we have noticed an uptick in traffic through our yard in route to York Road. The plan is to tear down the rest of the fence and replace it with a more vulnerable fence that would require more maintenance, is not a deterrent to unwanted cut through traffic, and is not a barrier to parking lot tail gate waste, etc, to the stream.
The fence is being but up as a result of "community feedback". However the immediate neighbors and those most impacted are not in favor of this fence. If you would like to see a more secure deterrent be put up we need your help!
We understand the greater good of this project, but we would also like to keep our neighborhood from being vulnerable to more traffic through our yards. Please sign this petition to show your desire to secure our neighborhood.

I hope the county listens to the neighbors who are impacted by this and respects their wishes. Increased foot traffic through your yards due to an unnecessary change in the fencing is unacceptable.
I agree that the old 6’ fence should stay! The newer fence looks a little more appealing but I think for security and for the issue of trash, the 6’ fence should remain!
This is a security fence and serves as a deterrent to criminal activity coming into our neighborhood. Legitimate travelers needing to get to our area are not hindered by the fence so I see no reason for it to come down.
I live within the Lutherville community association boundary and think the fence should remain 6 feet tall
My property runs along a substantial portion of the existing chain link fence. I do not want it replaced with a less secure fence . I would prefer that the money saved by not replacing the chain link fence be used to increase the plantings which will help discourage foot traffic through my yard and my neighbors' yards.
