We the residents of the Northampton subdivisions in Spring Texas politely ask the Northampton Maintenance Board to halt the plan for building perimeter fences for 30 residents with the full expense being passed on to their neighbors. We feel that these improvements improve valuations for these properties disproportionally to others in the neighborhood and in turn these properties should bear more fiscal responsibility for the revitalization of the fences. We ask the board to consider other approaches to this problem after hearing opinions from the neighborhood at large.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the number of you who reached out to share similar frustrations about the fence project. It is clearly not just me feeling like there has to be a fairer way to handle these costs. I am currently reaching out to board members to ensure they see these messages so please know that your feedback is being put directly in front of them.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many neighbors have come forward to speak up about this issue. This momentum belongs entirely to the community members who decided that our shared concerns were worth standing behind.

I am ardently against this attempt to side step the decision of the community. It sets a horrible precedent and undermines our faith in the board.
More information is needed before the board makes any forward moves on this issue. I would also like to hear from the 30 residents on why they cannot resolve this issue amongst themselves.
We need to look at all of our options.

Ridiculous to spend our dues for someone elses property value. If they want a new fence they can pay for it themselves like everyone else had to.
