As many of you are aware of the current situation with the fence at our property on Linnet Rise.If you are not aware the issue is this; We have erected a fence that covers the main dwelling of the house wall, however there was a fence in place before for 6+ years over the main dwelling of the house, due to one complaint, the council have ordered us to take it down. No explanation, no visit, no investigation, nothing! We have had so many compliments and ongoing support that I've made a petition to demonstrate that people support our fencing and hard work!

My husband and I have worked damn hard and tried our very best to make linnet rise look presentable and nice! We have spent endless hours working on our garden, painting the fences and enhancing our properties security, whilst doing this we have always taken our neighbours into consideration, ensuring we were being respectful with heights, sizes and not causing anyone any disturbance, however there is always one! But I will fight, and for everyone that has complimented our work, please please sign in supporting me to get the council to approve our hard work!!

Please sign if you are happy with our fences and how our property looks to use in stopping the council removing it for one vicious complaint!

The momentum behind our fight to keep the fence is growing fast. Post the link to your Facebook timeline right now and text three friends to bring them into this. We need to keep this pressure on the council until they listen.

I think Scott and Georgie have done a great job of improving the kerb appeal of their property. The council should be more interested in other properties on the estate that attract vermin due to the lack of upkeep.

It’s literally 4 panels at the side of the house - across the road looks worse with their scrappy cars parked on the grass!! They’ve been painted up to protect the the wood and a very neat job has been done. Please don’t punish hard working people for not realising they should have asked permission first.

They pass plans to build on green belt land off the Stourbridge Rd and plans for x amount of houses on the old Victoria carpets playing field and their worried about the look of a fence that actually looks better than it did before! It’s a joke! Get real! Good for you make a stance

The work that has been done makes the entrance to Linnet Rise look very neat and tidy; the fencing has been done to a good standard, painted neatly, it does not impose on any neighbour or pathway and I think it's unfair and unnecessary to ask for it to be taken down.

The fence is well within your property, more than 2 meters from the foot path, there are no windows or other properties overshadowed. I don't understand the objection.

Looks great, any work done to make our streets look better is a bonus in my book. Like you say there is always that one person who has to complain. Why don't they move if they're not happy. I hope all goes well with this petition.

Nothing wrong with the fencing, more efforts on crime and neighbourhood watch schemes perhaps.
