On October 13, 2011, Wall Street Development is asking the planning board to approve a site plan change that would allow the developer to install a 4 foot high chain link fence, rather than a wooden guardrail, along the sidewalk bordering the wetlands. A chain link fence would not only be an eyesore, but would be grossly out of character with the neighborhood. By signing this petition, you are joining with your neighbors in asking the Holliston Planning Board to: 1) Refuse Wall Street's request to install chain link, rather than a wooded guard rail, and 2) In the event that a fence is needed, for safety reasons, we ask that Holliston planning board enforce the spirit and letter of the Holliston Subdivision Rules and require Wall Street to install a fence that is consistent with the character of the neighborhood.
