Help get the elevator fixed at 11688 boulevard at Germain and bring about real change
The elevator at 11688 Boulevard St. Germain has been broken for over a month and my elderly grandmother who resides in the building on the 5th floor, has been unable to leave her apartment due to her medical condition and limited mobility.
On December 19th, my grandmother took ill and required medical assistance. Unfortunately, when the paramedics arrived, with the elevator not working, it had taken them over an hour to get my grandmother down 5 very narrow flights of stairs. Once they were finally able to get her down, they had to shovel an enormous pile of snow from the entryway so that they could get her into the ambulance.
Not only is this completely unacceptable, but the lack of safety, general maintenance and concern for the tenants living in this building could have led to a loss of life.
Please sign this petition so that we can hold the landlord accountable for the change that needs to happen right now before it’s too late. We’re lucky that my grandmother is alive and with us today but what if this was your loved one, or you?

I just spent the whole morning talking to the building management on the phone and they honestly kept giving me these vague excuses about parts being on backorder while my grandmother is still stuck upstairs. It really makes my blood boil how they just act like this is some minor inconvenience instead of a total failure of basic safety and common decency.

This is ridiculous. 5 floors with no elevator? My mom lives there and she has heart problems. Fix it before someone actually dies next time.

Landlord needs to be sued. The hallways are a death trap anyway and now this? Unreal.
