Kentuckians are overwhelmingly opposed to allowing the Williams Company, a private, non-utility to hold the threat of eminent domain over their heads to coerce them into agreeing to allow the Bluegrass Pipeline to cross their lands, endangering their families, their homes, and sensitive karst geology.
Kentuckians deserve to have regulatory oversight in the planning, construction, and operation of NGL pipelines to ensure their protection. Further, if this multi-billion dollar, private company is permitted to use eminent domain against common citizens, it will set a dangerous precedent in our state, and no home owner or land owner would be safe from future corporate exploitation.
My family, along with many others in the proposed route, is directly affected by this issue, as the builders of the proposed pipeline wish to cross our property, effectively bisecting it and destroying our ability to use my land as we had planned. The pipeline would come within a few hundred feed of our home, endangering our family. Many, many Kentuckians are facing this same danger.
That's why our group of concerned citizens created a petition to The Kentucky State House, The Kentucky State Senate, and Governor Steve Beshear asking that a special session be called to address these important issues. Will you make the call and also sign our petition? Thank you for your support!
Corlia Logsdon, on behalf of concerned citizens
Get this pipeline off our land. My family has been on this farm for three generations and we dont want some big company deciding how we use our property. Keep it out of ky.

This is just wrong. Eminent domain is for public projects not for some private company to make more money. Beshear needs to step up and stop this before someone gets hurt.
