We as Christians in Kentucky have the Constitutional right to religious liberty and our officials are trying to take that away. Pastors and church members are being threatened with fines and the State Police are showing up at churches. Lets take a stand.
We the undersigned petition the Governor of the state of
Kentucky to cease the infringement upon our constitutional right as Christians to assemble
together and worship Almighty God. Our right of religious liberty is clearly
defined in the first amendment of the Constitution of the United states, “Congress
shall make no law respecting an establishment ofreligion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of
the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition
the Government for a redress of grievances.” And in the Bill of Rights of the Constitution
of the Commonwealth of the State of Kentucky, “The right of worshiping
Almighty God according to the dictates of their consciences”. “The right of assembling together in a peaceable manner for their common good, and of
applying to those invested with the power of government for redress of
grievances or other proper purposes, by petition, address or remonstrance.”

I completely agree with this. We need church, we need God. God is ESSENTIAL. Liquor stores and abortion clinics are still Open and are not deemed as breaking the law to go to, so why is it unlawful for us to meet at church and worship God.
I agree with this petition. Churches should be allowed to be open for worship and considered essential. The government has went too far in my eyes when God is the one we should be turning to in this time instead of trying to shut Him out.
I believe in social distancing and drive in church services I see nothing wrong with. Our church is so small we can sit every other pew 6’ distance! God will not bless someone who takes our religious rights away.
I agree with this petition that our governor has singled out churches l, while allowing many more people to assemble in hardware and grocery stores.
I choose to worship at home during this time but you shall not infringe on our right to gather for worship if we so choose >

Stop implying that church goers are going to kill people by going to church, getting infected and passing it to someone. We practice sanitation and are completely in favor of safe guidelines, including "social distancing" while at church. We do so because our God given Bible teaches us to love our neighbor. The institutions that are still "legally" open, like abortion clinics and liquor stores are both direct and indirect threats to human health and life. We want to obey government, but government does not have a say in how we worship our God. That is according to our conscience and our Bible. That is not an area to be governed by human government. The spiritual condition of a human soul is the most ESSENTIAL need of man.
