We the undersigned herby ask the Public Service Commission to allow the people of Mercer County to make decisions about use of property in the county. Stop LG&E from taking some of our 'BEST" land to build a solar farm that will bring no value to Mercer County. We have had interest from other companies willing to buy the property and build a business that would bring jobs and increase our tax base..

The reason we are in this mess is that for decades, lobbyists have had laws passed favoring public utility companies to do whatever they want. Government is quickly trying to kill fossil fuel power plants without having a reliable or sustainable green energy method to generate electricity. So the power company wants to litter our landscape with solar panels that won't create a single new job. Our electric rates increased several times in the last 2 years. The cost for building these solar farms will just be added to our electric bills. We need manufacturing brought in to the area bringing with it jobs.

I have lived in burgin my entire life. I’ve been raised into farm life and had been back on the property which they are wanting to build the solar panels. Much of burgin and the surrounding area is made up of farm land ran by local families which have been passed down generations. These panels will eliminate jobs and decrease local poverty values. Thank you, Gavin Howard

PLEASE do not allow ANY utility company to ruin our county. Their deceptive and covert practices are just the tip of an iceberg. Utility companies need to be held to even MORE stringent guidelines than the average person, and in NO way should they be exempt from planning and zoning laws.

PSC and PPL steal 9.6 million per month from customers. 566,000 customers x $16.96 monthly customer charge. A charge to be a customer? Where else can we go? They also steal from each customer .030 per month for Home Energy Assistance Fund, = another $170,000 p/m - to pay for someone else electric bill? 9.77 million per month in stolen charges. They act like they are doing us a favor? The two entities are in bed together and abusing customers. Been doing it for years! Annual total from this theft is $117 million dollars! A big fat NO to their new theft project!
