Mia Figueroa, a senior at East Brunswick High School, was diagnosed with a brain cyst / tumor early in the school year. Since then she has had tons of doctors visits, had brain surgery, and gets sick often due to a weak immune system. Because of all of these complications, she's missed five months of school. The school is now telling her and her parents that she may not be allowed to graduate due to the work she missed. She still has to see doctors regularly, it isn't easy for her to get the loads of makeup work she has done. She was and still is ill, and it is not fair that her senior year was taken away from her and now she might not even get to graduate.
