The Toucan crossing recently constructed in Fore Street has compounded previous traffic problems on an extremely congested road. An overpass or underpass would have been a far more sensible idea thus allowing the flow of traffic. This new crossing positioned outside the new University building, without question one of the busiest roads in Ipswich, has simply caused total havoc and unnecessary delays. The matter needs addressing urgently.
