There is one simple, relatively cheap, and effective way to eliminate several of Morgantown's biggest problems all at once. These problems include midday gridlock on University Avenue, excess pollution caused by that gridlock, and the increased tendency for students to be late or frustrated while driving which could potentially lead to accidents. The fact of the matter is that the bridge that is currently in place is not used by most students unless they have a class in Ming Hsieh. A more convenient and centrally located bridge could serve as more utilized replacement for a University investment that doesn't necessarily meet its intended purpose.
I am honestly stunned by how many people took the time to look at this idea and agree that we need a better path across the street. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I never imagined the conversation would grow this large. It is incredibly humbling to see so many people care about making our daily commute safer and more efficient.

That crossing is a total nightmare. I almost got hit twice last week just trying to get to class. Build the new bridge already.

University Ave is gridlock central. Nobody uses the old bridge anyway because it is way out of the way. Fix this before someone gets hurt.
