Crossing the road here is very dangerous especially for children going to and coming out of school. We need a crossing to prevent accidents in the future.

Updates

I spent another morning watching the traffic speed past the school and it remains just as dangerous as the day we started this. I am continuing to reach out to the local council for a formal review of the site progress.

Seeing this level of support for a crossing in our neighborhood has been exhausting but it keeps me moving forward. I am tired of watching our kids navigate those cars alone yet this momentum proves I am not fighting this battle in isolation.

I worry about my son walking across here on his way up to the high school. There are loads of kids crossing here at peak traffic flow times as parents dropped their children at Silcoates school or on their way to work. A pedestrian crossing would be a great improvement.

It is a danger for older people. Cars are travelling very fast, and the volume of traffic is such that sometimes I have to wait a very long time to cross the road. I understand someone was killed here many years ago. Let's not wait for another death before action is taken.

Its a very hazardouse corner, difficult to cross as an individual but must be horrendous with a pushchair and a child in tow. Its been needed for years and I don't know why its taking this long to come to a sensible conclusion.

This is such a difficult and dangerous place - and with the number of new houses being built, will only get worse - unless we get a crossing!

I am the lollipop lady on Wrenthorpe Road and if for any reason I have been unable to do my shift and have driven down by the village hall have been shocked by how much traffic is there and how dangerous it is to cross.

I've stood at the end of Jerry Clay Lane trying to cross the road at peak times with a friend and even with two sets of eyes, both drivers as well, find it difficult to cross at that junction. Children don't appreciate the speed of vehicles. This crossing is needed urgently.

This is truly needed...I had to stop my car twice in last few months to let the standing children cross the road
