ESF Camps cannot keep all of our money for 12 months and only issue a credit towards next summer. If camp is cancelled or we do not feel comfortable sending our kids during a pandemic we should get our money back. Period. Join our Facebook page if you are in the same boat: ESF Camp Parents

I have been reviewing the stories many of you have shared regarding your experiences with these refund policies. Your accounts are currently being compiled into a formal document to be presented directly to the organization management. This process takes time but serves as a vital record of the financial strain placed on families.

The response to this petition confirms that many families share the same frustration regarding current refund policies. This momentum highlights the urgent need for a more equitable solution from the administration.

We love ESF and appreciate that the camp is trying to figure something out. However, it’s unrealistic at this point in time that any camps will resemble anything that we signed up for. Credit toward next year would be fine for a week, but we are signed up for 7 weeks! It’s unconscionable for ESF to keep that kind of money from families at this time.

I’m very disappointed that ESF opted to cancel the full summer instead of piecemeal, in case circumstances improved. But now to hold onto our money so that even if we wished to find alternative programs, we don’t have the money, is criminal. ESF cancelled, not the parents. No services rendered means no money. How could you be so greedy?

I was forced to select option 2 for a credit for next year (before the 28 May deadline) to avoid either losing 30% of my initial payment or being automatically enrolled in virtual camp.

Shocked at ESF actions. ESF does not have the right to unilaterally change the terms and conditions of the camp agreement, their cancellation of the camp does not permit them to retain our payments or offer up an unacceptable alternative (virtual camp at the same cost). ESF has lost many, many loyal long term campers.

ESF has cancelled summer camp and decided to keep 30% of the tuition that I paid in full in return for nothing. They will refund only 70% of paid camp tuition over the next YEAR with last payment in May 2021. This is unacceptable! They need to refund everyone in full immediately.

Imagine you're out of a job now, you need that money desperately to pay your mortgage or for the next grocery run. INSTEAD, ESF is keeping your hard earned money for a camp that won't happen. Ease of THEIR mind policy is absolutely unacceptable, a 70% refund policy is bad enough, but a PAYMENT plan on that refund ?!?!?!?

I expect a 100% refund for breach of contract of non delivery of service.

I am demanding a full refund of the money I paid to ESF as the in-person camp I signed up for my children to attend in summer 2020 was cancelled.
