We the students and other members of EO would like to bring to your attention that Sam Clark is an important member of our community and trusted adult. We are beyond disappointed that he has not been asked to come back. He is a role model for all, his compassion and knowledge is irreplaceable to us in all his roles as a coach, a teacher and an advisor. He promotes a safe atmosphere in the school where students feel comfortable coming to him with concerns and he makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. He is overall a light in so many of our lives and we are overwhelmingly upset he won’t be here next year.

Coach Sam is a great asset to EO and its students. He was a prime reason for my sons interest in Crew. He taught them leadership, perseverance, a strong work ethic and the value of teamwork. I hope he is able to stay at EO and continue to impact the lives of our young adults.
Coach Sam is an invaluable part of our community - as a coach of two sports, a club leader, and a teacher. He is a friendly presence in our school and very active in promoting the dignity and achievement of students with disabilities.
Sam is such an important part of EOS, not only as an english teacher but also as a coach and a support resource for best buddies. He makes the school a better place and always prioritizes his student’s mental health and wellbeing
I support bringing Coach Clark back. Our son has been greatly influenced by this great coach and person. To not bring him back is not only a disservice to Coach Clark, but to the E.O. Smith community. Coach Clark coached our son in Crew this year and lit a competitive fire in our son which we had never seen. Please consider bringing him back.
As an alumnae of EO as well as an educator, I know how crucial it is for youth to have this sort of adult in their lives as they navigate this complex world
Sam was a great crew coach and EO staff member when I was in school. I hope he gets the opportunity to return should that be his desire!

It would be extremely short sighted for EOS to let such an asset to the school go! Teenagers NEED trusted adults that they can learn from, confide in, and use as examples to grow from. Please keep Sam on staff!!
