Coach Sam is an invaluable part of our community - as a coach of two sports, a club leader, and a teacher. He is a friendly presence in our school and very active in promoting the dignity and achievement of students with disabilities.

Sam Is possibly one of the best staff members at E.O. To see him leave would affect the school as a whole. As a varsity Rower and a junior who is about to become a senior this naive and unemphatic choice to not hire Sam would not only affect His students. This choice would also affect the entirety of the CREW team. Sam has had a huge positive impact on my life. He empowers his students and he motivates and pushes his rowers to be the best they can be. Sam is a light in these dark times and It is an incredibly dim-witted move to not ask Sam to come back. I'm indescribably disappointed in the lack of educated decision making that our school's Administration displays. Its a true shame that political agendas, bias and a lack of compassion for the students is getting in the way of keeping a vital member on the E.O staff. To sum up this novel that I wrote i'll say three things. 1. Sam Is an essential member of the E.O teaching staff because of his overall impact. 2. The school doesn't think of the students first and 3. Sam if you read this, We love you to death and I will never forget the impact you've had on me as a whole. Thank you Sam, for all the fun times and experiences.

It would be extremely short sighted for EOS to let such an asset to the school go! Teenagers NEED trusted adults that they can learn from, confide in, and use as examples to grow from.
Please keep Sam on staff!!

I know a lot of us might be gone next year but everyone knows Sam Clark and although I had him as a coach briefly, I can say that he has been one of the most understanding and greatest thing in my highschool experience

It's disheartening to know that you didn't hire Sam as an English teacher, who is your crew coach,and who is vested in the school,kids and the community as well. To not keep a known and hard working person is foolish on the school and admin part.

I support bringing Coach Clark back. Our son has been greatly influenced by this great coach and person. To not bring him back is not only a disservice to Coach Clark, but to the E.O. Smith community. Coach Clark coached our son in Crew this year and lit a competitive fire in our son which we had never seen. Please consider bringing him back.

Already, hundreds of concerned parents, students, friends have expressed their heartfelt respect and appreciation for Sam Clark. He has proven his abilities as an outstanding educator, coach and mentor. Letting him go will be an unfortunate loss for EO Smith. We can only hope that the names and voices in this space will not go unseen or unheard.

Both my kids have him now and are so sad he’s not returning. They really have expressed how much they got out of the class this year.
