We are gaining momentum but we need to push past the 500 signature mark to get the school board's attention. Post this link to your Facebook page right now and text three friends to ask them to sign.

We are approaching one hundred signatures and need to hit this milestone before we present our request to the district. Post the link on Facebook and text three friends who support recognizing Eid in our schools.

Every student should have the right to practice their religion without it affecting the academic work. This not only creating an inclusive environment for students of all religious but also of all nationalities/ethnicities.

This decision would not even affect me personally, because I go to a Catholic School, however I believe that public schools should treat all religions equally when it comes to honoring holidays.

Eid is a very special day for Muslims in Islam which occurs twice a year. One after month of fasting and another coincides with the Hajj (Eid of Sacrifice). We would highly appreciate recognition of these days similar to other religions holidays. Thank you

Having Eid as a holiday is extremely important. The fact that it us not recognized by the district left my sons unable to practice their religion freely.

As an LHS alum, I would highly encourage giving Eid off as a religious holiday. The Muslim population at LHS has grown significantly since I last graduated May 2017. In order to show respect for these students, we need to acknowledge eid as a holiday. This would be a logical conclusion since Jewish and christian holidays are already given off for all students. Thank you:)
