Old Academy Apartments, for the most part, is a great place to live. It looks nice, the people are amazing, and it is relatively close to a majority of the things that students look for.
However, the biggest downside for Old Academy Apartments is that it is managed by Aspen Ridge Management. I don't need to recount the many horror stories that I am sure we have all heard or experienced while living here.
For years residents have complained about how awful the customer service is and how many times they feel they have been cheated.
But still nothing has been done.
This petition, if signed by a majority of the residents in Old Academy Apartments, will be sent to the owners of the property requesting that they find a new management company.
We can make a Old Academy a great place for us and future residents to live.

yeah drop 'em. I sold my contract and sent someone in to sign it and they had him sign another contract instead. I moved out and 4 months later they asked why i had stopped paying rent... finally got it cleared up without having to pay the rent but i had to get BYU housing and law school involved ...
TWO years i've been waiting for them to replace our broken windows that leak every time it rains, ruining walls and carpet. Also, they just charged all residents $105 to clean the apartments. that $400 for a tiny apt. Probably costs aspen ridge $120 ish to have the cleaners come, and they keep around $300. it's ludicrous

I agree with all the above statements. Aspen Ridge needs to go.
Aspen Ridge is a monopoly that is taking advantage of students. I was once trapped in the elevator for over 30 min in 20 degree weather because they had allowed ice to block the doors. The firefighters that came to extract me (!!) said it was clearly negligent on their part but aspen ridge refused to acknowledge their mistake. More importantly, a friend of mine suffered an accident (mid semester) leaving them in a wheelchair and paralyzed from the waist down. The elevators were broken and so this friend had to find temporary housing because they were unable to access their second floor apartment. OA told me that my friend should have lived on the first floor (as if they could predict the accident), and that the broken elevators were not their fault and they had no obligation to fix them. #CanYouHearThePeopleSing
Aspen Ridge was extremely rude to me when I lived at Old Academy.

Drop your prices!!! No amnesties. Use of clubhouse is so inconvenient ! Parking is terrible! Why are we being charged so much?!
