Saftey has become a huge concern in our complex. In the past 2 years there has been over approximately 20 plus break ins. Happening at all hours of the day and night, 3pm, 5pm, 10pm, and 3am. In the last 2 weeks there was atleast 2 break ins, one at 10:30pm while the resident was home, numerous car break ins one at roughly 4:00pm, and numerous cars being vandalized.
Our complex has not had security in roughly 8 months since they fired the last company. This is outrageous, appalling, and insulting. The complex has basically shown no interest and has made NO efforts to make their residents feel safe. We are the ones that have to live here not them.
I feel like it is time to come together as a community and let them know this is not going to be acceptable any longer. Someone is going to get seriously hurt, whether it be a resident or one of these people committing these crimes.
I ask everyone that lives here to take 5 minutes out of your day and sign this to show again this is not acceptable and will not be tolerated any longer. The company that owns this complex makes a profit every month let alone every year. And putting a letter in everyone's door just saying basically call the cops if you see anything, and that's all they do, is a slap in the face.

Security in general needs to be increased. ESPECIALLY night time patrols.
This petition will provide the unity that we need, to come together as a community to begin to make our living conditions more safe and suitable for all.

Thank you for putting forth the effort to create a more safe environment for our belonging and our loved ones. The type of individual willing to go into someones car and steal is probably capable of more severe actions. For this reason, it is imperative that management reconsiders their negligence with regard to our safety. I will be tracking this closely.
