We are fighting to save a beautiful unspoilt area of natural beauty that is currently being considered for the development of over 300 properties. Residents from the surrounding areas are working together to stop this. We would lose the wildlife and the beautiful open space that the community loves and that many local people use regularly. If you believe that local authorities should not be able to build on every piece of land that suits them, they that have a responsibility to protect these areas for the future generations please sign our petition and share with as many people as possible. We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to protect the open space named above, already earmarked as a proposed public open space. We want the government to say NO to any development on this land and convert it to a nature reserve or help the residents purchase the land and prevent future building.

Watching these numbers climb makes me think about how much we have to lose if the bulldozers actually show up at the Brook. We need to sprint toward that next milestone right now because if we get enough people on board before things settle the council might actually have to listen to what we are saying about the wildlife habitat.

The Raynesway Island already needs Traffic Lights and it will be made even worse with more traffic. I wonder why there has already been some widening at the this island with the recent roadworks. Was this in readiness for the new housing? Also, Acorn Way is already quite dangerous and it will be much worse as a result of these proposals.

This site is totally unsuitable for development. The access issues have not been resolved and the infrastructure is inadequate to cope with the current population let alone 200 more homes! Please everyone support the residents by signing this petition.

My children and grandchildren should be able to see the beauty of nature not have to travel miles to find it.... its a simple 2 minute walk to get to brook farms from my house and our whole family love to walk it... Do not ruin the nature and the happiness of all chaddesden residents for a "little more extra cash in your pockets!"

Stop building on every inch of greenery! There are so many derelict places that could be put to better use without destroying such beauty. We had to appeal to get one of our kids into school due to being full as it is!
