Residents of Desert Oasis and the surrounding subdivisions do NOT want a Dollar Store in their neighborhood. If commercial land is sold, we would like a store that would benefit us such as a convenient store that sold gas.

I agree with this petition. If commercial retail has to be here, then it shouldd retailers that increase the value of the neighborhood. I don't want to sdoyndd like a snob, but so be it if I am. Bring in higher scale retail.
We do not want a dollar store in our neighborhood, and especially not so close to our elementary school. We want a grocery store or gas station/convenience store near 163rd & Grand not in our backyards.
I moved here to get away from stores like this. Dollar General will only drive residents out as it invites unwelcome theft into the neighborhood. Dollar General is known for theft activity since thieves are able to steal things without much repercussion. Please don’t bring in the first store to our neighborhood as Dollar General!
You first need to make another enterance into the and out of the subdivision... this idea would certainly produce more traffic, more crime, and lower our property values.
Please don't build any type of retail store or commercial space on the corner of 171st Ave and Jomax Rd next to a K-8th school and remote development on a dead end road and neighborhood. It's not a financially viable opportunity for the owners/investors in such a location and certainly doesn't fit in with the area. There are other better locations for it. Please.
I moved out here because it is a lovely neighbourhood. A Dollar Store right in the centre of it is not conducive with a lovely neighbourhood. It is incredibly out of place. Not only that, it is unnecessary. I, and imagine nearly all of the residents, moved out here knowing full well we would have to drive 10 minutes to “run to the store,” and I am perfectly fine with that. I have never once said “gee I wish we had a store right around the corner.”
Why on earth would you think a dollar store belongs in the middle of a neighborhood let alone behind a school. This is the most rediculous idea i have ever heard. NO Dollar store for Desert Oasis

Just seems like a very dumb place for it - why not out on Grand where better visibility to those on the 303 and Grand? Would much rather have a convenient store with gas closer to the neighborhood.
