Desert Oasis Residents Do NOT want a Dollar Store!

I moved out here because it is a lovely neighbourhood. A Dollar Store right in the centre of it is not conducive with a lovely neighbourhood. It is incredibly out of place. Not only that, it is unnecessary. I, and imagine nearly all of the residents, moved out here knowing full well we would have to drive 10 minutes to “run to the store,” and I am perfectly fine with that. I have never once said “gee I wish we had a store right around the corner.”

Why on earth would you think a dollar store belongs in the middle of a neighborhood let alone behind a school. This is the most rediculous idea i have ever heard. NO Dollar store for Desert Oasis

Just seems like a very dumb place for it - why not out on Grand where better visibility to those on the 303 and Grand? Would much rather have a convenient store with gas closer to the neighborhood.

A gas station makes more sense.

I live on Buckhorn trail. I'm willing to wait longer for a higher quality store.

Gas station, yes. General store, yes. Dollar Store, um... NO, NO, NO!!! WHY was this even considered???

Please stop Dollar General from being built in our neighborhood of Desert Oasis. This is a terrible idea and not a good location for a Dollar store!

I do not want a Dollar General to go in the proposed location at 171 and Jomax in Desert Oasis. I feel that this type of retail establishment devalues our neighborhood. We could really use services closer to Jomax and 163rd or 163rd and Grand. I would love to see a true grocery chain near us or a gas station in lieu of a discount store chain such as Dollar General. Please reconsider!

This doesn't even make sense. A gas station, grocery store, or adding another entry/exit to the neighborhood needs to be the focus!

We want no commercial business beyond 163rd and Grand. We understand land is set aside for business at 163rd and Jomax but let's have a planned development and wider finished roadways and intersections.

What does it take to get a Fry’s and a gas station?

I am truly appalled at the idea of having a store like the Dollar General in our nice quiet neighborhood, let alone next to our school. The location is bad enough for any store when there are many other locations for growth in the area that aren't so detrimental to the neighborhood. I can't even begin to imagine who thought this was an appropriate store or an appropriate location. I will not be staying in the neighborhood if this store is built and I know many others that feel the same. This will truly bring down our neighborhood and our homes values. Please do not destroy our beautiful, peaceful neighborhood with such an atrocious eyesore.
