Demand ACQ Demo. The Union is Failing CECOM Employees.
Following the AFGE Local 1904 employee union’s withdrawal on 20 Jun 2018 from negotiations to transfer CECOM employees into the ACQ DEMO pay system, we hereby express our lack of confidence in our Union representation.
FACTS:
An official vote was held among CECOM Union members on 18 Apr 2018. The results were 304 in favor and 180 against entering ACQ DEMO. Based upon the results of this vote, AFGE Local 1904 leadership is required to ensure the intentions of the majority are met. It is understood that negotiations will be conducted in good faith to reach a positive result.
RESOLUTION:
Adam Carrigan, President of the Union (AFGE 1904), does not have the mandate to withdraw from negotiations to enter ACQ DEMO. The signatories on the petition believe Mr. Carrigan acted in haste by withdrawing. No consultation with the membership occurred before Mr. Carrigan withdrew. We hereby ask Mr. Carrigan to re-enter negotiations immediately. If Mr. Carrigan refuses to re-enter negotiations, we request Mr. Carrigan step down from his position to allow someone else to finish negotiations.
NOTE: All comments are welcome, but please keep them professional. Thank you.
