The undersigned employees of NAVFAC NW presently represented by the International association of Aero space workers (I AM &AW, District 160, Local 282) no longer wish to be represented by a union. We wish to have the National Labor Relations Board conduct an election since we believe that a majority of employees in our unit no longer wish to be represented by the above union. Due to the lack of collective representation within the bargaining unit.This is a right of all employees to sign this petition and to determine whether or not representation by the I AM AND AW (Union) is warranted. This petition will assist the FLRA ( Federal Labor Relations Authority) in determining whether a vote is required. Employees cannot be retaliated against for their participation by the union or management. Any retaliation or interference can be filed directly by employees with the FLRA. Management cannot participate in this action, this is the employees opportunity to effect change within the organization as has been requested by a number of employees. ive been getting a lot of messages from folks asking about the next steps and how the legal side of this works. im currently putting together some info on the rules for filing with the flra so everyone feels clear on their rights. hang tight while i get that sorted because i want to make sure we have all our ducks in a row before moving forward.

im honestly blown away by how many of us feel the same way about this. the momentum is picking up fast and it shows that we really are ready for a change at work.
