We, the paying members of Discovery Bay Recreation Club wish to express
our dismay and disappointment at the refurbishment of the swimming pool
and petition the following changes be made when the pool is closed for
the next winter break:
1. The Club installs a refrigerated system to maintain the water of the
main swimming pool to a constant temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. The
water temperature currently exceeds 35 degrees and is unbearably hot and
uncomfortable for swimming.
2. The tiles surrounding the exterior of the pool be replaced with ones
which are not slippery when wet and do not absorb heat. The current
tiles are very dangerous when wet and cannot be walked on with bare feet
due to the high temperature.
3. Black T-lines on bottom of pool be reinstated to mark the lane divisions.
4.Access to the swimming pool be redesigned so that people can bypass the water spray.
The momentum is building fast. Management is finally starting to notice the heat.

Finally someone said it. The water is like a lukewarm bath and the floor tiles burn my kids feet every single time we go. Needs a fix asap.
