Government Legislation states that schools MUST provide the option of at least 2 veg and 2 fruit daily.. tell me, where is the 2veg and 2 fruit in a cheese, ham or tuna sandwich?
Also secluded children are being denied any of the Intervention work they are given during a school day (vital maths and english intervention!)
I understand the school must be harsh on those children who are misbehaving.. but removing hot meals and education is NOT the way to do it. please share this far and wide and sign it also. This HAS to stop!

i understand that if a child has done something wrong eg beating up another student, bullying or behaving in a out of control way in school they should be isolated from the other students but not for forgetting stationary and homework, thats abit extreme to say the least this policy needs to be looked at again!!!!
Also the work they do in seclusion isn't relevant to what they are learning, it's just to keep them occupied, it's never marked and is often binned in front of the child once they've finished it. That's not educating a child, it's neither relevant to their punishment or to their school work.
Valuable gcse work (on-going assessment work) is missed due to this punishmnent. good students allienated and made to feel 'bad' for simple mistaskes. An intelligent response to individual students behaviour would be more suitable. thankyou for doing thie pettition i have had numerous set to's with the school over this.
If the kids were seriously misbehaving I would understand however you are put in seclusion if you leave your journal or pen at home even if it's the first time! We moved our daughter due to the disproportionate sanctions and the bully it culture of the management.
Putting people in seclusion for not wearing black socks is utterly farcical. Given the rise in food banks, depriving children of hot food is draconian and smacks of utter vindictiveness.

a child is placed in seclusion for incorrect provisions such as a green pen.where are the school provisions that allow that child a hot meal or basic need such as being allowed to wear a coat in school at the height of winter.
