we think out children deserve a nutritional hot lunch!

"The evidence is clear. Providing children with nutritious and delicious meals gives them the fuel they need to excel both inside and outside the classroom, while making them more likely to opt for fruit and vegetables at lunchtime rather than junk food such as crisps"
I have been hearing from many of you about the daily struggle of packing balanced meals that children will actually eat. These conversations confirm that the current situation at our school does not align with the nutritional needs of our students. I am now preparing a formal proposal to present these concerns to the administration.

Seeing this groundswell of support confirms that our community prioritizes the well-being and health of our children. This momentum suggests that we are ready to begin formal discussions with the school administration about providing nutritious meals.

A hot school meal would be beneficial to the learning of all children and would ensure those from a less economic background would have a hot meal daily.

Although the cold dinners are very good, my son is never full from them and needs me to pack addtional snacks. I believe that in having a warm dinner, especially as the cold weather is coming up, the children will benefit alot and be fuller for longer.

This should be a priority, in the winter I wonder if staff were only allowed sandwiches not something warm would this be addressed?

My daughter is now in year four and would certainly benefit hot meals a school as she does a lot of after school activities so needs that a little bit extra of nutrition.

I assumed that the free meals were all cooked! As a secondary school teacher where our pupils on fsm get a cooked meal I was shocked that pupils at what I regard as an excellent school do not!

I think all the children should have the opportunity to eat hot dinners at school. Not only is it better for them it also teaches general table manners and social skills
