We must not allow our past community leaders name and legacy fade away with time. It is important we continue to stress the importance of supporting one another in such troubling times and create a safe haven for those in need. Let us be reminded of those who dedicated their life to the advancement of their brothers and sisters. Let us start by dedicating and naming the main pavilion at the Frank Garrett Multi Service Center a.k.a. West End Park after one of the greatest community leaders Verna Mae “Mama” Boone and continue her legacy. Thank you all who have signed the petition thus far.
