In the greatest efforts, I am asking you to consider signing this petition to present to the Moore County School Board. Let's continue the name and legacy of Coach Nathaniel Carter at the new school. Our old school Aberdeen Middle School is facing a future that will no longer continue the heritage from our childhood nor Coach Carter's namesake on this gymnasium.
With your support, we can show Moore County School Board how much we respect this man. He has been a father figure, Coach, and Mentor to so many children and their children over the course of his career.

The climb toward five hundred signatures has been exhausting but the School Board needs to see that we are not fading away. Please reach out to someone today so we can reach this milestone and force them to pay attention to Coach Carter's legacy.

Coach Carter is a wonderful coach and man. He helped my mom and I after we moved to the area. It was difficult coming into a new school as an 8th grader but he took the time to help us transition into our new lives.
A true gentleman and coach and I will always remember he taught us how to play chess and had the yearly chess tournament. Who does that!! Coach Carter that’s who because he cared if you were a well rounded person. Love you Coach
Coach was and is more than just a coach and an educator to those of us who walked the hallowed halls of AMS. Years have gone by and he is still a beloved figure for us all. Please continue to honor his legacy by keeping his name in the gymnasium at the new school.
Coach Carter gave me the coaches award as a 7th grader. No 7th graders got awards I thought! He instilled confidence in me when I had none. He showed me that heart, hustle and fundamentals were more important than size. He paved the way for my athletic career, and I am forever grateful!! Heart of GOLD!!
Coach Carter is an icon. He was my track coach in middle to high school. My siblings and I are 12+ years apart, and Coach had an impact on all of our lives. He saw potential in us and made us realize that we are somebody. We love Coach!
Was a very kind man in very many ways!

Coach Carter taught 6 of the 9 kids in my family.My sister Freda was his 1st student of teaching.My family loves and respects Coach Carter ,he not only was a coach he was mentor and friend.His name should remain.
