My father was a community leader and a Pastor of the MT. ARARAT Baptist Church, he also build a Senior Citzens Building in the heart of the city. My father loved people and worked diligently to show mankind that with God's help we can accomplish anything. My father sent many young men and women to colledge, he took troubled children off the streets and gave them hope, he worked with gangs to show them a better way of life. He became hope for the hopeless and love for the loveless. A father to many and yet never complained. When Martin Luther King was killed many people destroyed Jefferson Ave and burned and trashed it. My dad had a vision to build it back up, thats when he went to the people and said " Lets bury blight". Today Jefferson Ave is booming with many business and homes in the neigborhood.
