Strongly oppose the expanded development in the Marina. It would only impact the greater Beau Chene community with no upside for the 1,500 existing Beau Chene residences.
OPPOSE! Increased flooding for the surrounding residents, increased traffic, security concerns, environmental issues with the loss of more wetlands...just a few of the reasons for opposition.
I was the last house before the Marina when I purchased in 2006 and then Beau Chene allowed Steven Plough to build houses between my house and the Marina, which then immediately resulted in water to backing up damaging my home and landscape. Sadly, if Beau Chene allows the new building proposal, the added income would not benefit the homeowners.
We are not opposed to any development as long as it has reasonable density and neighborhood impacts consistent with the surrounding existing marina area.
This development will put people in harms way, Flooding is going to happen and when it does all these people will have no where to go . in addition to blocking the roads with cars restricting emergency vehicles . A totally bad Idea.
Absolutely oppose this zoning issue due to density problems, traffic issues, and noise abatement concerns.
I think it sets a bad precident.

My husband, Roland Newell, and I are against the zoning request by Marina Beau Chene Associates, Inc. We live in this neighborhood and not do want this new development. This will cause multiple burdens of additional traffic and other long term issues such as drainage and property devaluation. No new zoning!
