We, the resident population of Worcester State University, vehemently oppose the proposed parking of resident cars off-campus.
It is absurd to have residents, who call this campus their home, park their cars three miles away in a lot only reached by a shuttle. This impacts our daily living, from doing something as simple as grocery shopping to maintaining employee obligations. Furthermore, we refuse to put our safety in jeopardy should we have to reach our transportation in late evening hours.
Commuters get to park their cars in their driveways at home. Why shouldn't we be offered the same privilege?
