1. We hereby object to being allowed no more than 2 parking registration stickers per home, as it discriminates against homeowners with roommates and homeowners with licensed teenage children who own their own vehicles.
2. We hereby object to only being allowed to park in either our garages or driveways, as garages are also used for storage purposes and therefore, do not have sufficient space for a vehicle. Furthermore, as the Ashburn Square Homeowners Association mandates all trash receptacles to be stored in residents' garages, there again is not sufficient space for vehicles to be parked therein.
3. We hereby object to vehicles in driveways not being allowed to overlap with the community's "common area sidewalks", as not all driveways in the Ashburn Square community are of an equal length. Some are significantly shorter than others and therefore, can barely contain one economically-sized compact vehicle, let alone a family-sized mode of transportation.
4. We hereby object to not being allowed to park in spaces "reserved for guests". As not everyone entertains guests, and certainly not all at the same time of the year, those spaces will remain empty a great portion of the time when they could be utilized by the residents of the Ashburn Square community for their convenience and out of a necessity.

The web address listed on the letter everyone has received is incorrect. Some may not be able to sign if they don't search for it.
My wife and I are new to the community, as of 5/1/17. Immediately, there were raised eyebrows regarding the limited parking, as well as the prohibited overnight street parking. My wife car was towed, due to overnight parking on the street. We were exhausted and fell off to sleep. We woke up for our work day and notice that her car was not there. We have residential stickers on both vehicles. We usually park in the garage, which very precision driving is a must, with the limited space, due to storage. We also park in the driveway which is not long enough to accommodate a mid-sized vehicle, without overlapping the common walking area and leave enough space to exit the car, because of the landscaping. If this had been a medical situation and spending the overnight hours in an emergency room, we would come home after a grueling night, just to find our car (which has a resident sticker), has been towed. I am not sure, at this time how far this petition has reached, but I am noticing only 11 has e-signed. I am preparing to print this petition and go door to door to get signatures.
The restrictions are far to stringent!
