We, the learners, parents, and supporters of our school, respectfully ask the school governing body and management to review and modernise the current hair policy.
The current rule banning hairpieces limits many learners who wish to wear neat, natural-looking protective hairstyles. Hairpieces help protect natural hair, make it easier to maintain hairstyles, and allow learners to feel confident while still looking neat and presentable.
We are not asking for extreme hairstyles, bright colours, or styles that distract from learning. We are simply requesting that the school allow neat, school-appropriate hairpieces that match a learner’s natural hair colour and comply with the school’s standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
We believe this change will create a more inclusive and fair environment while maintaining discipline and the school’s good image.
We respectfully ask the school to:
- Review the current hair policy.
- Allow neat, natural-looking hairpieces.
- Permit protective hairstyles that meet the school’s appearance standards.
- Consult learners and parents before making final decisions.
By signing this petition, you are supporting a fair, respectful, and modern hair policy for all learners.
