Join us in showing that the residents, workers and visitors of Woodinville want a rainbow crosswalk art installation! :) Everyone in Woodinville deserves to feel safe and seen, and this is a step that the city can take to show its support for their LGBTQ+ community in this turbulent time while also bringing much needed visibility to the Eastside.

Along with Seattle's famous 11 rainbow crosswalk, Bellevue College's installed 4, Kenmore getting rainbow steps up to their city hall, Redmond, Kirkland and Bothell nearing completion on theirs, Yakima has many gorgeous rainbow crosswalks that highlights its promise of inclusivity, and Spokane is hard at work completing their design right now!

This is a great way to show inclusion to all in our community - and has precedent not just locally but across the country. The fact that some of these symbols have been attacked by far right agitators doesn’t make them any less relevant and important - it makes them more so!

As a Woodinville resident I love to see artwork, and love that the rainbow crosswalk spotlights Woodinville’s welcoming and inclusive community. This is a visible statement to residents and visitors: we welcome diversity.

Having lgbtq+ kids myself I know how very, very important visibility is for these kids! Seeing that they are supported in a community is lifesaving! Even if it’s just a little paint on the ground!

Middle of Woodin Creek (Zeek's pizza to Brix) makes sense as that won't be damaged by ongoing downtown developments.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community in Woodinville, I support this. This shouldn't replace meaningful action toward LGBTQ+ justice, however! This is an expression of solidarity, which is important, but is alone not enough. Please also listen to youth who want school resource officers taken out of their schools.
