Hello friends, neighbors and loyal customers,
The Town of North Hempstead is repaving lower Main Street and removing parking spaces to allow for thru traffic. They are NOT planning on including much needed crosswalks for pedestrians to accomodate the increase of traffic and speeding vehicles.
Therefore, we would love your support for the inclusion of two crosswalks: one from the parking lot on the corner of Jackson and Main Streets to the other side of the street (in front of White + One), and the other from the corner of Shore and Main Street (at The Dolphin Bookshop) going to the other side of the street.

Its honestly terrifying trying to cross there lately. Cars just fly down main street like its a highway. We need these crosswalks before someone gets seriously hurt.
