Join us in showing Redmond that its people want a rainbow crosswalk! :) Everyone in Redmond deserves to feel safe and seen, and this is a step that the city can take to show its support for their LGBTQ+ community while also bringing much needed visibility to the Eastside. Along with Seattle's famous 11 rainbow crosswalk, Bellevue College installed 4 a year a go this month, Kenmore is working on theirs, Yakima has many gorgeous rainbow crosswalks that highlights its promise of inclusivity, and Spokane is hard at work in creating their design right now!

The latest rise in support has caught the attention of the City Council planning committee. I am finalizing a formal proposal packet to present at the next public hearing.

Representation is key to building strong communities. Also, rainbows are something everyone enjoys even if they're not from the LGBTQIA community. Rainbows are colorful and bring joy to all.
I wholly support this project and believe it is important for the city to make sure all is citizens and visitors know they are seen, valued, and respected. This is probably one of the easiest and least expensive ways to do just that.
I am a Redmond resident and I would LOVE to have a beautiful rainbow crosswalk in our town. Or several gorgeous rainbow crosswalks!
Redmond needs this!! Would be so cool to see some color downtown finally.
It would mean so much to see visible representation from the city! To make this city feel like a home

We should absolutely do this. It shows that Redmond is a modern place and welcoming to everyone. Make it happen city council!
