We urge the school board to:
--Reject the Superintendent's proposal to continue using an abstinence-only-until-marriage textbook to teach sex education. This textbook is not medically accurate and objective, as required by law.
--Reject the Superintendent's proposal to reintroduce Free To Be, an outside agency whose mission is to promote abstinence-only-until-marriage. The California Department of Education has stated that this agency should not be teaching in California schools.
We urge the school board to stand up for the comprehensive sex education that research shows to be effective and that California law, and the district's own policy, requires. We're counting on you!

This is ridiculous. Kids need real info to stay safe these days. Abstinence only just doesnt work and everyone knows it. Stop ignoring the law.
