Crater's Youth Advisory Committee is advocating for comprehensive sexual health education to be provided in District 6 schools. It is essential for students to receive vital information about their bodies, health, and safety before facing situations in which they would need the information. We are gathering information and signatures for a presentation to the school board in April. Help us make a change in our community and in the lives of District 6 students.

As a parent I have been diligent about providing my children with sexual education however I am unfortunately the exception. Young people need to understand sex and how to prevent unintended pregnancies. Very proud of my daughter for being a part of this initiative.
Us teens are neglected with the actual health / healthy relationship education we need. In high school I never was in a health class! But was in middle school. That needs to change.
This would be absolutely heavenly for highschool students. Its not even a matter of "we can't, we don't have the budget and its a luxury class." As far as I'm concerned, it should be a core class that is mandatory for every student. So SOOO important!!! I'm very happy that there's a petition for this and I hope it goes through!
As a teen girl I knew nothing about sex or abortions or birth control... I had to find out what sex was about and I was not prepared. I personally think that we should have a sex education program in 9th grade. I'm currently a senior at Crater and this is what my senior paper and project are about and I stand strongly on what I believe
This can and will save lives. I actually know kids who still believe you can only get AIDS if you're homosexual.

Didn't get all this kinda info in high school and ended up having a baby at 18. I strongly believe that if kids knew how much of a struggle it is they would bw a lot safer. Especially when it comes down to their sexual health
