To all Burbank, CA Residents & Burbank Unified School District Parents:

We are a team of concerned BUSD Parents, collecting signatures to address sexual education to young and extremely impressionable BUSD students. BUSD has authorized "gender identity instruction" to young and extremely impressionable students, that rise to the level of possibly indoctrinating students with LGBTQ+ concept(s), identity(ies) and family structure(s) before students have the opportunity to independently and cognitively understand and decide their identity for themselves.

We kindly ask that (1) Per CA Ed. Code § 51101(a)(8), to examine the curriculum materials of all classes that incorporate any LGBTQ+ instruction/material/assignment; and (2) Require Parental signature for student participation for any and all comprehensive sexual health lessons categorized as “gender identity” lessons.

We hope to work amicably with BUSD and Local School Sites to come to a reasonable agreement where all viewpoints are taken into account and incorporated --- BUT to be heard, all Burbank residents and BUSD Parents, we need your signatures!

We need to hit the 500 signature mark immediately to demand that the board takes us seriously. Text three local parents right now and ask them to add their names to this push.

We are approaching one hundred signatures and need to maintain this momentum to get the district to take notice. Post this link on your Facebook page right now and email your school board representative to demand an immediate review of these materials.

We are the parents and have a right to know what’s being thought to our kids and have a voice to choose if we would like our kids to be Learning all of this in elementary school which is just unacceptable and not OK!!

I don’t want my children to be exposed to LGBTQ talk, until I’m ready to speak with them. As a parent I should have the right to educate my child first before anyone else. Also, I should decide when my Child is ready for this discussion, not the school district. Thank you

This curriculum goes against my Christian beliefs. Parents should be the ones who choose how to discuss these topics with their own children, at an age when the parents feel is appropriate for their child. Thank you for your consideration.

I am so broken hearted that this is what it has come to. Because of the school teaching things like this I have been sending my 3 children to a private school in another city when I could have sent them to a Burbank school that is only one block away from where I live on Eton Dr. Please stop this none sense and stop abusing our innocent children!

I do not consent the school to talk to or discuss any sexual or any gender issues with my children. Child’s mind is pure and no need to obstruct their mind with something they can’t event comprehend. Please reconsider.

I would like to be informed with the material beforehand, and have the opportunity to choose whether my child will participate or no. Since our religious views give my family some restrictions, the opportunity to choose is crucial for us.

They shouldn’t be talking about this to our young kids.

My daughter attends school in BUSD and I do not want this information in the schools as this is something parents should address with their kids.
