The administration confirmed that students may choose between red or black gowns for the upcoming ceremony. We successfully restored this tradition and will now monitor the distribution process to ensure the policy remains consistent.
If you want the option to wear either red or black graduation gowns rather than all students wearing the same color, let the student voice be heard. Please sign this petition if you want to go back to this RMHS tradition of letting students pick their own color. Feel free to leave a comment below.
The administration has acknowledged the current level of interest in the gown policy. I am preparing a formal request for a meeting with the graduation committee to present our proposal for color choice.

If you’re able to choose the color you want to wear, it’s not sexist. I’m a female that doesn’t look good in red/ doesn’t like the color. So i’ll wear black. If some guy looks good in red then go for it. Our school colors are not black and black. They’re black and red. I don’t want graduation looking like a funeral.

I’d love red and black instead of just black because it’s OUR graduation not a funeral!
