We stand with our principal Nora Houseman and want her to remain principal of San Francisco Community School. We believe she shows sound professional judgment and deep dedication to students, families and staff. She is a tremendous leader and we are committed to her return to SFC as our principal.
In her 8 years with SFC, 4 years in the classroom and 4 years as our principal, she has shown her loyalty to our community. Her tireless work toward excellence and equity, often in the face of daunting challenges, has been both effective and inspiring. Under her leadership, the school has also made important strides in fostering a collaborative and talented community of teachers. We believe that there is no one better qualified to lead our school than Nora.
We the undersigned urge SFUSD to return Nora Houseman as principal of SF Community School as soon as possible so that she can lead our school into the 2016-17 school year. Thank you for your consideration.

I have been hearing from so many of you who remember the specific ways Nora supported your children during difficult times. These stories remind me why this school community feels like a family and why we cannot let her leadership be taken away so easily.

In my 12 years as an educator, Nora is one of the most talented and dedicated educators I have ever had the honor of working with.
Our family stands strong with Nora and we stand strongly against institutional silence that prevents productive growth. It is heart-breaking to see our education system get in the way of incredible education. We chose SFC BECAUSE of Nora's passionate and authentic, on-point and detailed discussion about the SFC approach. We are so glad to be part of such a strong community.
Nora's dedication to this school and her students is undeniable. Her absence has been felt as a profound loss by students, teachers, support staff, parents and families and all those in the SFC community. I hope to see Nora back at SFC this fall.
My daughter was an SFC student grades 5-8. Nora was her math teacher and then her principal. Nora is an exceptional educator and for SFC to lose her would be an absolute shame. Reinstate this amazing professional!!
As an incoming kinder family, Nora Houseman is a big reason why we chose SFC. Please bring her back!

I have never met a person as devoted to her school and students as Nora. This is completely unfair and madness to remove her from SF Community School which she helped build and make so great. I am hopeful that the board will see clearly here and revoke this regrettable decision.
